How I came to choose my Blog name.

I have heard lot of people talk about blogging. Few of my friends got their own blogs and out of curiosity I went to look at their bogs only after a friend told me that in her blog she has written down a guide line on how to start writing or write your memoirs.

I do have ideas what is a blog as my daughter and two of my daughters-in-law got their own blog. At times I peeped into their blog and what I like most are the photographs of their children that they posted in their blogs as well as about the events they had. Mainly their writings were about their families and of course it is indeed wonderful to have all those records written down in a dairy/journal when it was used to be in the past or even now. Now a-days these events could be shared amongst friends and can even be exchanged through blogging. How wonderful!

At first it did not arouse me at all to have my own blog and as I am just contented to look at my daughter’s and in-laws ones. I am more on to Face Book where you can also upload pictures and share some interesting gossips or teasing your friends and at the same time reading your friends and friends’ friends posting as well admiring the beautiful photos taken by them.  

 So how did I finally decide to start to have a blog of my own? Well, to tell you the truth - it was after reading the many articles posted by one of my friends who had written and published her book "footprints in the padi fields". Her articles were very interesting and make you wanted to go on reading. I had read all her articles in her blog up to now.

It is her style of writing that kept you lie to go on reading just like the way it did to me when I was reading book. Can you imagine! Frankly speaking I am a very poor reader when come to reading book. Before I even start reading I already dosh off to dream land but not her book. I never believe myself that I finished her book in just two days. Wow!!! What an accomplishment I had in the history of my reading. I must reward myself to a lavish dinner for such a record!

Yes – yes and yes it was her articles that I had read that really spur me to own a blog where I can start do my writing as I have lots life experiences to tell. So yesterday, the 19^th December 2010 was the beginning of my long dream into writing through this thing call BLOG.

It took me more than two hours to finally succeeded to create my blog with a name that I feel can allow me to write any form of articles that comes into mind. From a song – you raise me up by Josh Gorban….. there was this sentence “stay awhile with me” that caught my heart.

Another suppress for me was that my blog name is also a song when I went to search in the net to check how many people are using that name as my friend told me to give her my specific URL as she said she could not locate my blog as there are lots of people using that name.
